The 3 days chimpanzee tracking safari leads to Kibale National Park, which is home to over 1000 chimpanzees and lots of bird species to spot while in the forest. This safari includes chimp trekking and birding as we do a nature walk and visit the Amabele Ga Nyina Mwiru in Fort Portal.
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
The safari starts with a morning pickup from the hotel of accommodation and a drive westwards to Kibale National Park. We break off for lunch in Fort Portal and then tour Amabele Ga Nyina Mwiru, Toro crater lakes, and tea plantations as we drive to the booked accommodation for overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp nature walk
The safari starts with an early morning breakfast, then a drive to the briefing center. Here you will meet rangers that will inform you of the trekking DO’s and DON’T’S while in the jungle. Then do the trekking and move back to the lodge for lunch. After that, you go to visit the nearby community and the Bigodi Swamp Nature Walk to spot lots of amazing bird species and other primate species like the red-tailed black and white colobus monkeys.
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala
Having had our morning breakfast, we drive to Semuliki hot springs and then proceed to Kampala as we drop you either at your booked place of accommodation or at the airport for your flight.
