2 days Golden Monkey Trekking Safari Rwanda will drive over the rolling hills in rural areas into the home of endangered shy Golden monkeys on this Golden Monkey Trekking Safari, which takes place in Volcanoes National Park, which is well-known for Gorilla and Golden Monkey Trekking in Rwanda.
Day 1: Travel to Volcanoes National Park
If you arrived in Kigali early in the morning, we would give you a city tour. Here, we come across the Kigali Genocide Memorial Ground, where more than 25,000 genocide victims’ remains were given respectable burials. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we are driven to Musanze-Volcanoes National Park, which is about two hours away, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking Experience
After an early morning breakfast, you are taken to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi with a packed lunch. There, the ranger will give you an overview of the guidelines for tracking golden monkeys before you set out to find these timid, adorable primates in the jungle. Similar to gorilla trekking, the golden monkey walk can take anything from one to six hours, although it is less hectic. Despite being challenging, the climb is ultimately quite rewarding, and we continue on our journey back to Kigali.
